Introduction to Blog

Hi, and welcome to 'NO TESCO STOURBRIDGE' a simple blog created to enable those who DO NOT wish to have a TESCO 'megatropolis'--in the small town of Stourbridge in the West Midlands of England--to comment.

On a recent search for information about TESCO's bid to build a huge complex in town some friends of mine and I noticed that there is nowhere to pitch objections.

Make your own search to see for yourself how one sided and unbalanced this application process is. In our humble opinion this does not reflect the process of democracy we hold dear in our community.

Please feel free to comment, all feedback is welcome.

Here's a link to the pro-tesco website that inspired this blog:

  1. Can Stourbridge have its glass industry back instead? How about a museum to celebrate its industrial heritage? How about a return to pedestrianisation on a Saturday? How about a rock hall of fame? How about anything that marks Stourbridge as something individual and special, somewhere creative people used to flock to instead of move away from?
